Ridge gardens
Rather than being classified as a single distinct biome, ridge gardens are formations which can be found across climatic and geographical zones. Ridge gardens are generally characterized by and formed around geological formations in the surrounding environment, specifically hills and cliffs which break up the wind on the northern facing side. This kind of geological formation tends to attract similar clades of organisms, so while different ridge gardens may be inhabited by different species, many of the observable morphologies will be similar thanks to common biological pressures.
